San Diego, October 14, 2004: Frank McKenna, our glorious
leader, (he said to say that), founder, (boy he is getting really old),
and designer of all our products, has just published his first fiction
novel. This is after hundreds of non-fiction publications (many millions
of words), including technical papers, textbooks, manuals and help
screens.
We know he works twelve hours a day at GMB because he drives the rest
of the staff crazy from dawn to dusk so we are not sure when he got the
time to create this masterpiece (at least that is what Frank calls it).
He says he did it in his spare time between 9:00PM and midnight but we
aren't sure because we get an awful amount of emails from him from
within that timeframe. We sure hope he hasn't been working on it in
company time.
Frank says the genre is action/adventure with a twist of philosophy,
stuff about computers (I guess Frank being the author computers just had
to get in on the plot somewhere) plus a great deal of his wry humor and
peculiar views on life, (sorry boss).
It is also the first in a series involving the same characters (does
this mean he is still writing in GMB time?).
